Pink Workout Wednesday Routine = Abs
Pink’s workout routine for Wednesday.
- 1 hour cardio on Treadmill (@2% Incline)
- 30 min weightlifting: Abs Focus
- yoga / stretching
Here’s the Wednesday Abs Focus weightlifting routine. It starts with the Treadmill Cardio/Abs Routine. Pink’s trainer, Gregory Joujon-Roche has her wear a heart monitor. This is to make sure you’re at the correct heart rate levels. If her heart rate is too high, he has her slow down a bit. If it’s too low, he tells her to pick it up a bit.
- Do 20 minutes on Treadmill (@2% Incline)
- After 10 minutes, make sure you’re heart rate is @75%
- After 20 minutes, stop and do these three core abs exercises: (Ab Circuit)
- Accordion Crunches
- Side Bridges
- Supermans
- 2 minutes treadmill @ 85% heart rate (160 BPM)
- Repeat Ab Circuit: (4 sets: Abs/2min/Abs/2min/Abs/2min/Abs/5min)
- Do 2 minute sprint between each ab circuit
- After 4th set of abs, end with run on treadmill for 5 minutes @87%
For the abs, Gregory Joujon-Roche wants you to go to failure. Instead of having a certain number of reps in mind, just do sets of each circuit until you feel “you’ve killed it.”
- Knee Ins
- Tuck and Holds
- Toe Touches
- V-ups and Pike
- Long Leg Torso Rotations
- Hip Flexions with a Punch
The Pink workout is all about the core. Pink says:
All the stuff I do is core-based workouts. All the acrobatics, all the stunts I do on tour mean I need to be strong. If you want sick abs you need to hang upside down by your feet and so sit-ups. You have to. And you can’t cut corners.
Pink Workout Thursday Routine = Arms
Pink workout routine for Thursday:
- 1+ hour morning run/sprints
- 1 hour weightlifting: Arms
- 30 min martial arts
Here’s the Arms Thursday weightlifting routine. Instead of having a certain number of reps in mind, just do sets of each circuit until you feel “you’ve killed it.”
- Pull-Ups (or Lat Pulldowns)
- Pullovers
- Bicep Curl into Shoulder Press
- Concentration Bicep Curls
- Bicep Curls with a Twist
- Hammer Curls
- Rear Dips
Martial Arts: (Advanced: Hold a 10 lb. dumbbell for all these moves)
- Jab-Cross Combinations (25 reps)
- Jab-Cross-Roundhouse Kick (25 reps)
- Jab-Cross-Roundhouse Kick-Jab-Cross-Hook (20 reps)
- Snap-and-Roundhouse Combo (50 kick)
- Roundhouse Kicks (Rapid Fire 50 kicks)
- Thai Knee-Abs
On sprinting, Pink says that this is her favorite kind of workout. She says:
I can do cardio circuits all day long, but when my trainer makes me do sprints, it’s like nothing else.
