Paul Walker Sports
For the rest of the day, the Paul Walker workout routine focuses on sports. Instead of martial arts, Paul Walker stays active in other ways. If the surf is up, and he’s near a beach, he’s off before you know it. Otherwise, he looks for ways to continue moving throughout the day. Paul Walker says:
My motto is, you have to get in a sport day. Playing a little basketball, volleyball, going out surfing, skating, whatever it is, it’s the best way to live.
So, when he’s not doing martial arts, Paul Walker’s workout routine includes:
- Surfing
- Skating
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Fishing (in a paddle boat)
While he spends his afternoons staying active during the week, Paul Walker uses the weekends to race. After getting professional race training for The Fast and the Furious movie series, he loved to race cars. Paul Walker spent many of his weekends racing at the track.
The Fast and the Furious Training
For The Fast and the Furious training, Paul Walker did 2 hours of jiu-jitsu every day. He would then do 1 hour of Muay Thai. This training came in handy for his fight scenes in The Fast and the Furious movies.
When Paul Walker died in 2013, the crew decided to dedicate Furious 7 to his memory. Vin Diesel chose to use Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in his fight scenes in memory of the late Paul Walker. Vin Diesel worked with Paul Walker’s former trainer, Ricardo Miller.
Vin Diesel talks about finishing Fast & Furious 7 without Paul Walker, while pretending he is still there:
Vin Diesel wanted to pay respect to Paul Walker with a legendary fight scene using jiu-jitsu. He began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu alongside The Fast and the Furious actor Tony Jaa. About this action scene, Vin Diesel says:
I did a lot of jiu-jitsu for Furious 7. I worked with Paul walker’s jiu-jitsu teacher…he knew how important it is for Furious 7 to be the best film it can be to honor my brother Paul walker–So we worked real hard.
The jiu-jitsu training for Fast & Furious 7 included a lot of pad work, agility training, and combat sequences. To see more about how he got in shape, check out the Vin Diesel Workout.

I come back, and I’m down to 180, super-lean again, and I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m done.’ It’s better for me to stay lean.

Where I came from, and it’s who I am. I sometimes struggle, because my job is like the antithesis of what surfing is all about. Surfing’s simple. It’s real.

The Paul Walker diet is mostly Paleo, but he feels he doesn’t have to be strict about it. Because he’s always moving, burning calories comes easy.
His diet is often location oriented, based on where he is. If he is close enough to a body of water, he eats a lot of fish. He loves spending afternoons fishing, and catching fish himself.

what about weight training? i think that paul may lift weights
Yes, he did for a while. But, on a surfing trip, he decided that being bigger wasn't for him. It got in the way of paddling.
Thanks for the reply Chris What would be the next workout? Ben Afflecks Batman Workout or Mark Walhberg workout for Transformers and Lone Survivor?
Good question! I'm always taking suggestions, so feel free to hit me up. Both of those suggestions are awesome ones; we'll have to do something for both. I've got a lot of information ready for the Ben Affleck / Batman Workout. I'm mostly just waiting for them to come out with more info/pics/trailers.
It would also be nice to have quotes from Affleck, but that won't happen till they start doing promos and he's on the cover of Men's Health (I still can't believe Justin Bieber was on it last month). I'll start working on the info that I have for the Batman Workout. Let me know if you see anything on the Mark Wahlberg/Transformers routine.
Well i saw on mensfitness uk that after pain and gain he had to cut for the role on Lone Survivor he did a lot of TRX.Ketllebel training plus the navy seal training and for transformers he did more complexes with kettlebells or dumbells i think that with barbells too using the Tabata style 30 seconds of work and 30 resting
Cool, Thanks!
