CrossFit training has gained popularity by being used by a few thousand fire departments, military organizations, and police academies.

Many doctors affirm how well CrossFit training can be for anyone trying to meet the public health guidelines regarding exercise. Critics have claimed that too much exertion from CrossFit training workouts can lead to rhabdomyolysis, the tearing of muscle that leads to kidney damage, but this seems to be a rare case.
